We were contacted by a client in Winkfield who had ongoing problems with a recently installed wet room that had been fitted by another company just a few years prior. Despite its age, the installation had failed due to poor workmanship, resulting in significant water damage to the subfloor and areas beneath. The client wanted a complete rebuild - one that not only looked modern and stylish, but also functioned reliably for years to come.
Following our initial assessment, it was clear that the existing suite and tiles would need to be removed entirely, along with the damaged flooring and wall structures. With the client keen to maximise the usable wet area, we proposed a large wet room tray and a sleek, contemporary finish using high-end materials.
Location: Winkfield, UK
Project Type: Wet room removal and full refurbishment
Key Requirements:
Challenges:
Full Strip-Out & Structural Repair:
We began by removing the entire bathroom suite, wall and floor tiles, and damaged sub-layers. Once exposed, we replaced all compromised materials with new waterproof-ready structures, laying the foundation for a reliable wet room setup.
Large Wet Room Former:
To achieve the expansive wet zone the client wanted, we installed an 1800mm-long wet room former tray. This allowed for a generous, open-plan layout while maintaining proper drainage and safety.
Modern Porcelanosa Finish:
To bring the space to life, we used Porcelanosa tiles throughout — known for their premium quality, durability, and clean, modern aesthetic. The result was a fresh, minimalist design that elevated the overall feel of the room.
The transformation not only resolved the structural issues caused by the previous installation but also gave the client the sleek, luxurious wet room they originally hoped for. With an extended wet area, high-end materials, and a watertight foundation, the space is now built to last — combining style with total peace of mind.
